Catherine Meister is the Adoption Program Supervisor for the NH Division for Children Youth and Families. Catherine has worked in the field of adoption for over 10 years. She began her work in international adoption, providing program coordination, parent support groups and training and information sessions. She spent 20months living with her family in South Africa working at a home for orphaned and abandoned children near Johannesburg. Catherine has been working for DCYF for 5+ years supervising post adoption services and the licensing of private child placing agencies. Catherine is the mother of 6 children, three who joined the family by adoption. She is currently finishing her master’s degree in Human Behavior and has a special interest on the impact of early trauma on development and behavior.
