How’s Your Stress Life
02/22 - 03/06
This course focuses on the symptoms of stress and the impact that stress has on us physically, behaviorally, and emotionally. Foster/adoptive/relative/residential caregivers face unique challenges caring for children in care and often children who have experienced trauma. Stress can be used as a signal to motivate an individual to make positive changes and allow the opportunity to reassess one’s priorities. This course will help participants identify and quantify their unique stressors and explore various strategies for managing and/or preventing stress. By learning to effectively manage stress participants will also learn strategies for modeling these strategies for children in their care.
