Tips and Tricks for Educating Online
Getting Started
If you don’t already have Zoom on your computer, NO worries! Here is the link to register and download. The download allows you to set up meetings and attend meetings.
If you cannot download onto your work computer, NO problem! You can just click on the link provided by your instructor in the Zoom email invitation. No download needed.
INSTRUCTORS – You can host a meeting (you have to have the Zoom app on your laptop/phone/tablet) by clicking “Host a Meeting” and you may choose to have the video on, or off, and/or screen share only (this is a video off and only shares your screen). It is best practice to have the video on. Zoom has several videos to help guide you through joining a meeting, setting up a meeting, scheduling a meeting through Outlook or Google Calendar, and meeting controls (I HIGHLY recommend this one). You can watch those videos here.
