Training for DCYF Staff

Core Academy
DCYF Core Academy is required for all newly-hired Child Protective Services (CPS), Juvenile Probation and Parole (JPP), and Sununu Youth Services Center (SYSC) staff within the first six (6) months of employment.
Upon being hired, you will be assigned a cohort, login information, and notification of registration for several self-guided courses that you can begin right away and are open throughout the Core Academy you’ve been assigned. In addition to the self-guided courses, you will be registered for the remaining in-person courses according to your position. You can view these courses, dates, and times by clicking on the appropriate Core schedule below.
After ALL Core courses in their respective tracks have been completed, CPS and JPPs will be invited to attend the Core Academy graduation ceremony, receive a graduation certificate, and may have full, independent caseloads as long as both the mentor and the supervisor support a full and independent workload. If you have questions about Core Academy requirements or requirements for attending Core graduation, please reach out to your instructor coach (IC).
